Nokia Maps 2.0 Graduated!

Nokia Maps 2.0 has graduated and now out of BETA. I gave you a quick look at the new maps application in April when I reviewed the Nokia N82’s Integrated GPS reciever. As well as a new welcome screen (shown above) and enhanced user interface, Maps also introduces pedestrian navigation, real time traffic information (with automatic re-routing around traffic jams) and satellite imagery.

As with previous versions of the application, it is free of charge, however, you do have to pay for voice navigation if you want it and city guides.

I think this is a must-have upgrade for frequent users of the previous Maps software and you can download it for your S60 Feature Pack 1 device as well as the new Map Loader software from the following link:

*** Update: AllAboutSymbian have posted some more screenshots of the new Nokia Maps 2.0 and have listed the changes that have been made over previous maps and BETA versions of the product.
