While browsing through flickr I have discovered images of possible new additions to the Nseries portfolio. Clear pictures of the N79 and rumoured N85 as well as images of other Nokia devices have been uploaded today thanks to ‘giusdama77′!!!
Please note that these are ’spy’ photos of what could be the N79 and N85 (currently marked ‘N00′) indicating they are still in development. They may not be released at all. However, the TUBE and other devices in the flickr photostream have been confirmed by other bloggers.

Nokia N79:
A very odd looking device!!! The design doesn’t seem to fit with others that have been released and could be part of a revised design language!!!
Here the multimedia menu key also seems to have been relocated to the left hand side in a portrait orientation. It also looks as if a 2.4″ screen has been used and is quite a small/compact entry level Nseries handset with a traditional and spacious number pad. The device looks to come in white and titanium coloured variants and in my opinion looks like a cross between the N82 and 6220 classic.
Unfortunately there are no more pictures of this device to gather any further details.
Nokia N85:
As you can see, the ‘N85′ uses the same dual slide design as the Nokia N95/6 but adds a lens protector instead of a ‘kick-stand’ around the camera module.
It looks as if dual-LED’s are used as the flash/video light above the camera again which should help with recording video in low light conditions, and, unlike the ‘N79′, the device is using the same design language as other recent Nseries handsets.
Even though this device has been called the ‘N85′, it doesn’t seem to have the new form factor described by people that have seen early prototype units. This handset may be a completely different phone and have a different model number on release.
Nokia 5800 XpressMedia/TUBE:
Not an Nseries device I know but I thought i’d add it for your viewing pleasure!!! Here is the Nokia 5800 ‘TUBE’ many people are talking about, being the first device making use of the new S60 Touch UI. As you can see, it has been Vodafone branded - could this mean that Vodafone will have exclusive rights to the handset at launch???
It sports a large touch screen which can be used with a finger or stylus, and a 3.2 megapixel (Carl Zeiss Optics) camera with dual LED flash.
I am really looking forward to the launch of this device and finding out just how usable the 5800 will be - and how well it performs!!!

To be honest, I was a little disappointed with the ‘N79′ and ‘N85′. I think that Nokia needs to save the Nseries branding for more exciting/different devices. There are too many models now that are very similar in design and spec.
However, time will tell if these rumoured handsets will bring anything new to the table, and I look forward to finding out if there are changes under the hood that may improve them over previous devices!!!

Why won’t the 5800 be an N-Series? And, judging by the pics, there’s no front 3g cam…
The N85 looks like a mix of the new N96 and N78. And the N79 looks like a mix from the N78 and the N82

Nice find. My sources tell me the “N85″ is more likely to be called the N88, the N85 is a different phone altogether.

They all still look much too bulky if you compare to the slim design of Samsung, LG, Apple and SonyEricsson. Get it into your head: 12 mm max thickness for smartphones Nokia! 9 mm max for standard phones.
Hm, looks all very poor. I think these phones are as interesting as a cup of coke in BurgerKing. If you are thirsty, it may be considered, if you are looking for a leading device - forget it.

Are you sure that there is no front 3G camera in the 5800 Xpress? I think that there is. I heard that there is option to use finger or stylus pen. So i think that its very good that you can choose.
It is not wise to judge it before it is published because that model on the picture is prototype i think?

I knew it…nokia latest touch screen phone 5800 Xpress Media/Tube…you will see this phone if you watched Batman The Dark Night where Morgan Freeman used the phone in the Hong Kong building…I noticed the Nokia brand even though it was too small..I believed so…hoho…
Nokia makes such similar models, cuz they considered to sell lots of N82, but their dreams about it failed and now there r a lot of N82 models lying in stock, and the policy is so simple they just change the cover but the filling is still the same, they dilute the market with “brand new” models and just sell the old ones…

I’m disappointed..so, I gotta wait a lil longer for N98.
I hope Nokia not only focusin in design and shape, what about the battery?? It’s better to learn from Phillips Xenium.
