The N78 is receiving a lot of attention, and has received yet another firmware update! The update itself (v12.046) is available once again through over-the-air (see my previous N78 update post) as well as the Nokia Software Updater!
A short official change log has been release stating that the update “includes a number of performance improvements including software selection, Bluetooth Stability, Video Playback, Email sending and Alarm Clock functions”.
Owners over at Symbian-Freak suggest that an annoying problem with bass distortion has “gone but not completely resolved” as well as further improvements to the NaviWheel, GPS performance and overall UI speed.
I’m really pleased to see that Nokia are seriously implementing over-the-air updates into this new device and hope this is the case with others in future!
Although no data should be lost when applying this update, be sure to back up any important information and files before updating the firmware.
